Most homeowners call us with the same three questions before they call about price: can this actually be saved, how long will my kitchen or bathroom be unusable, and what do I need to do before you arrive. Here are the honest answers.
Restoration works on damage that lives in the surface. Etching from acidic cleaners or lemon juice, scratches, dull and worn traffic patterns, staining that has penetrated the stone, tired or failing sealer, minor chips along an edge, and open or lipped seams are all repairable in place. So is a finish that was simply never right in the first place. In those cases grinding, honing and polishing remove the damaged layer and expose sound material underneath, which is why the surface comes back rather than being covered up.

Most countertop and vanity projects are finished in a single visit. Beyond that, the schedule is driven by four things: the area being restored, how deep the damage runs and therefore how many passes are needed, whether repairs have to cure before polishing can start, and whether a sealer or Marble Armor is being applied at the end.
That last point catches people out. On most jobs the polishing is not what decides when you get the room back, the cure time is. A surface can look finished and still need to be left alone before it is sealed, and sealed surfaces need time before they are exposed to water or cleaning products. We give you the actual sequence and dates after the on-site assessment rather than a generic estimate, because a small foyer with one deep stain and a large floor with even wear are very different pieces of work.

At the start of the job the technician walks the surface with you and points out what will come out completely, what will improve, and anything that will still be visible afterwards.
