Natural Stone Types We Restore
Marble
The most versatile and architecturally significant stone in our portfolio. We restore residential marble countertops, foyers, bathroom floors and walls, commercial marble lobbies, hotel marble, government building marble, and museum marble. See our main marble restoration services or residential marble for details. Cost guide: marble restoration cost.
Granite
Residential kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, outdoor kitchens, bar tops, and commercial installations. Granite restoration includes polish refresh, chip repair, stain removal, and sealer renewal. See our granite restoration services.
Limestone
Historic exterior cladding, interior architectural details, and modern residential installations. Limestone is softer than marble and requires specific restoration chemistry. See our limestone restoration guide.
Travertine
Floors, showers, patios, pool decks, and decorative applications. Travertine’s natural pits and channels need specialized restoration. See our travertine cleaning and restoration guide.
Slate, Flagstone & Bluestone
Natural stone patios, entry walkways, stair treads, fireplace hearths, and exterior landscape stone. These stones develop efflorescence (white residue) and need periodic stripping, cleaning, and sealing. See our residential slate services and slate/flagstone/bluestone restoration guide.
Soapstone
Historic and modern residential kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, and decorative surfaces. Soapstone is softer than most stone and requires oil-based maintenance rather than polish. See our soapstone care guide.
Terrazzo
Technically a composite, not a natural stone — but we restore it using the same diamond-honing methodology. Historic and modern terrazzo in government buildings, commercial lobbies, hotels, schools, and residential installations. See our terrazzo restoration services.
Other natural stone
Sandstone, quartzite, onyx, and specialty stones are restored using methodology appropriate to each material’s hardness, porosity, and finish characteristics.
Our Stone Restoration Services
- Diamond honing & polishing — progressive grits remove etching, scratches, and surface damage. Polishing builds up to mirror finish (or satin/honed if specified).
- Deep cleaning — pH-neutral stone-safe chemistry removes embedded soil and cleaning product residue without damaging stone.
- Chip and crack repair — color-matched polyester or epoxy resin for chips, cracks, and spalled sections. Ground flush and finished to match surrounding stone.
- Stain removal — poultice or mechanical removal for oil, wine, coffee, citrus, ink, and other staining. Different staining types require different approaches.
- Sealing — penetrating impregnating sealers appropriate to each stone type. Reduce porosity and improve stain resistance without changing appearance.
- Marble Armor protection — invisible composite film that protects marble, limestone, and other stone from etching and staining. See Marble Armor services.
- Efflorescence removal — for slate, flagstone, and bluestone with white mineral residue.
- Joint and grout work — stone joint cleaning, regrouting, and caulk replacement in conjunction with stone restoration.
