Government & Institutional | Marble, Terrazzo, Metal

Services: Marble restoration, terrazzo polishing, metal polishing, stone sealing, grout restoration

Requirements: Security clearance compliance, phased scheduling around active operations

The Challenge

The IMF headquarters in Washington DC houses one of the world’s most important international financial institutions. Its campus features extensive marble flooring, terrazzo corridors, polished metal fixtures, and decorative stone throughout multiple buildings welcoming diplomats and heads of state from 190 member countries. The IMF required a restoration contractor with security clearance experience, the ability to work in phases around active operations, and expertise across multiple surface types under one contract.

Our Approach

Marble floors and walls: Diamond honing and polishing across lobby, executive corridors, and conference spaces. Professional poulticing for embedded stains. Full sealing. Terrazzo corridors: Grinding, progressive polishing, crack repair with color-matched epoxy, divider strip restoration. Metal surfaces: Brass elevator surrounds, stainless handrails, and decorative panels cleaned, polished, and sealed. All work in designated zones maintaining building operations with secure area protocols.

The Result

IMF campus surfaces restored to institutional-grade presentation. Multi-surface restoration delivered within constraints of a secure, high-profile international facility — on schedule, zero disruption.

GOVERNMENT · WASHINGTON DC

International Monetary Fund — Headquarters Campus

Phased restoration across marble floors, terrazzo corridors, and brass fixtures under full security compliance.

The IMF's Washington DC campus is one of the most operationally demanding restoration environments in the District. Marble lobby floors, terrazzo-lined corridors, brass elevator frames, and stainless-steel fixtures all needed to meet the institution's standards of finish — with zero disruption to a workforce operating around the clock.

Rose Restoration's scope ran across multiple phases, combining marble honing and polishing across the main lobbies, complete terrazzo restoration across the corridor network, and refinishing of every brass and stainless-steel fixture the crew could access.

Because IMF operations run effectively 24/7, all work was executed under full security compliance — vetted crews, badged entry, phased night and weekend windows, and daily handoffs that left every zone guest-ready before the next morning.
