A Washington, DC homeowner wanted all the marble in their bathrooms brought back to a polish. The primary bath had marble on the shower floor and halfway up the walls; two other bathrooms had marble floors. We restored all of it, rebuilt a broken shower curb, and added more areas once we were there. Summer 2026.

What we did, and why
- Shower curb rebuilt where it was broken, and its cracks fixed with a color-matched epoxy resin.
- Shower walls, floor and curb cleaned, honed, polished and sealed; broken or missing grout repaired.
- Caulk renewed: clear caulk at the glass and fixtures, and a light pewter color along the floor perimeter, bench and corners to match the grout.
- Bathroom floors scrubbed at the grout, honed, polished and sealed. Walls cleaned, powder polished and sealed. Vanity top honed, polished, sealed and recaulked. The tub was recaulked.
What a similar bathroom can learn
A broken curb or cracked marble in a shower does not have to mean a remodel. If the stone around it is sound, a broken section can be rebuilt with color-matched resin and the whole shower restored around it.
