On Capitol Hill, a full service hotel went through a guestroom and corridor renovation in 2025, and the general contractor needed the natural stone scope handled by a specialty subcontractor. Rose Restoration was awarded the work in September 2025.
Guestroom stone in a renovation is mostly bathroom stone: vanity tops, tub decks, thresholds, and floors that have absorbed years of soap, water, and cleaning chemicals. Corridor stone is elevator landings and transitions that take rolling luggage all day. Both need to come back to a uniform finish across hundreds of rooms, which is a production challenge as much as a craft challenge.
Rose staffs renovation work with crews who do only surface restoration, so the GC gets predictable production: a fixed number of rooms per week, each one honed, polished, sealed, and punched out to the same standard. When a renovation schedule compresses, the crew scales instead of the quality.
Hotel renovation stone is one of the highest volume things Rose does. The same crews have delivered guestroom programs for flagged properties across Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and beyond, working for both general contractors and hotel ownership groups directly.
