The Challenge
Salamander Resort and Spa is one of Virginia’s premier luxury destinations — a Forbes Five-Star property in Middleburg’s horse country. Extensive natural stone throughout lobby, spa, restaurants, and corridors must maintain immaculate presentation. Guest traffic, spa humidity, restaurant spills, and seasonal weather create continuous wear.
Our Approach
Full marble floor restoration in lobby and public spaces. Stone accent walls cleaned and sealed. Spa surfaces treated with penetrating sealers for high-humidity exposure. Anti-slip treatment on wet-area stone. Restaurant countertops protected with Marble Armor. Recurring monthly and quarterly maintenance scheduled during low-occupancy periods.
The Result
Stone and metal surfaces maintained at Forbes Five-Star levels on a proactive schedule. Single vendor for all surface care across the entire property.

Full marble and terrazzo restoration for Sheila Johnson's flagship luxury resort in Virginia horse country.
Salamander Resort & Spa sits on 340 acres of Virginia countryside and operates as a five-star destination year-round. The resort's marble lobbies, spa terrazzo, and Calacatta-clad public bathrooms needed to maintain a level of finish appropriate to the property — while absorbing the constant wear of weddings, corporate retreats, and high-season weekends.
Rose Restoration's scope included complete marble and terrazzo restoration across public areas, bathroom vanity refinishing, and Marble Armor protective coating across vulnerable surfaces to reduce future wear from acidic contaminants (wine, citrus, skincare products).
Work was scheduled around the resort's event calendar with zero impact on guest experience.
