The Four Seasons Baltimore renovated its public spaces in 2026, and the general contractor brought Rose Restoration in for the metal and wood surface scope. Rose was awarded the work in February 2026.
Public space renovations in a five star hotel are unforgiving. The lobby, corridors, and amenity spaces carry the brand, the property stays open through the work, and the finishes trade is one of the last in, which means the schedule pressure lands on it. Metal and architectural wood restoration in that setting covers elevator surrounds, door and frame metal, railings, and millwork: surfaces that guests touch every day and that show wear faster than stone.
Metal restoration is a refinishing trade, not a replacement trade. Bronze, brass, and stainless surfaces are cut back through progressively finer abrasives to remove scratches and oxidation, then finished to the specified sheen, from satin to mirror, and protected. Wood surfaces are repaired, color corrected, and refinished in place. The result reads as new construction without a single panel being demolished.
Rose performs this work for hotels across the mid-Atlantic, both directly for properties and under general contractors on renovation teams. It sits alongside our stone scope, which is often on the same renovation, and both are performed by our own employees rather than layers of subs.
